Close to nature, trails, restaurants and shopping New to Ottawa, staycation, renovation, vacation or moving delays? Located 25 mins east of downtown and Parliament hill. Enjoy privacy and uncomplicated living Wi Fi? Absolutely... Perfect! human race friendly location! Available from August $1950 for 31 days extra days after 31 days calculated at $65 per day You have exclusive use of the cottage for the duration of your booking dates. Please read property details and information for suitability. Please let us know where you are from, what brings you to Ottawa, is anyone working from the cottage, and who will be staying (People and pets) before requesting to book as it is helpful. Working out details through clear communication before a booking is agreed is crucial for me to feel confident in accepting a booking. No unregistered guests. No smoking of any substance or vaping indoors. (Outside and in the garden is allowed). No storage of furniture, appliances, valuables, or large personal items inside the cottage or on the property. All belongings must be removed at checkout time. It may not not possible to return Items left behind after check out. If a forwarding address is provided we will attempt to post items to you at your expense. Pets and pet policies must be discussed and accepted before booking. The correct number of occupants must be booked. For Identity verification Government Id. required for all registered guests at check-in. No extra occupants without written permission. All occupants must be registered and have agreed to abide by the house rules and terms of service. An air bnb superhost! Check out reviews on air bnb. Booking may be done through air bnb but air bnb fees will be applied. The host reserves the right to refuse entry or remove anyone providing false or misleading information. When no cleaning fee is charged please leave the cottage as close to how you found it as possible. At minimum please wash dishes, and remove all garbage before you leave. (We do not expect bedding or towels to be laundered. ) NOTE: Amenities provided are only available for the duration of the reservation and will not be available after 12:05pm on the reservation departure date. The area is also home to a Heron; Otters Wild Turkeys, Fireflies, Ladybugs and Frogs... The perfect spot for nature lovers;offering mature trees, creek, barbecue and private space. The Garden has never been sprayed with pesticides. The lawn is an eclectic mixture of dandelion and clover with a touch of traditional grass. ..The rabbits love it! The surrounding area includes farms as well as individual homes. Included until checkout date: (detailed list under amenities.) Insulated and air forced central heating for cozy winter comfort. Parking (covered carport) Laneway cleared by snow removal contractor. Historically, a rural farming community, the village enjoys an enviable community spirit. Our cottage is: A short walk to Prescott Russell trail with Petrie Island nature trails and beach, walking and cycling trails, golf, horseback riding, and a wonderful variety of stores 10-15 minutes drive away. 10 mins drive from Orleans restaurants and extensive shopping opportunities. Close to the Prescott Russel recreational trail; where you can enjoy a pleasant walk or bicycle ride. There is a small creek on the property. The creek is not suitable for swimming or fishing. Please consider this; especially if you are bringing children. The cottage is served by a deep drilled well into a large aquifer. The water is tested and potable. We provide bottles of water for those who prefer the taste. A culligan system removes mild sulfer. Walking and cycling trails, golf, mini putt, horseback riding, and a wonderful variety of stores minutes away. The local Prescot Russell trail runs from Ontario to the Quebec border going east and towards Ottawa going west; offering a challenge for the adventurous. The trail is groomed during winter. If you love to walk, bicycle, snowshoe, ski, or Skidoo, this trail is for you! Dogs on leash welcome anytime. You will be a short drive( 10 mins) to Petrie Island nature trails and beach. Don't miss Petrie Island it offers a splendid beach in a conservation area. Sorry no dogs allowed but you have is a walking path close by where you could walk or bicycle from Orleans to downtown Ottawa. The route goes along the George Etienne Cartier parkway. After visiting the National Capital sights, come home to Navan and enjoy a change of pace. Visit Domain Perrault winery (Friday - Sunday 11am-5pm ) 1.5 km Navan curling club, agricultural building, ball diamond, park, and fairground. Events happen under Navan’s famous Domes. Airlifted to the park in 1984 and used for the Papal Mass when Pope John Paul visited Canada; The Domes are located next to the local park and Curling Arena. During the Navan Fair, listen to live music under the Domes. -4km The Domaine Perrault Winery offers complimentary wine tasting in a relaxed atmosphere. 15 mins drive to Hammond Golf and Country club and Broken Stick brewery and restaurant (highly recomended)with a lovely. dog freindly, eating area on the patio overlooking the grounds. 10mins-10 km Bearbrook Golf Club 15 mins-20km Mer Bleue Walking Trails “Mer Bleu has been designated an internationally significant wetland under the United Nations’ Ramsar Convention.” “The different loops may be completed in any combination, providing a walk as long as 12-km, or as short as 2.8-km. Each loop is numbered as a separate trail.” (Taken from the “Ontario Trails Council” website.) 20 mins-30 km Calypso Water Park. The biggest theme is water-park in North America. Offering 35 water-slides 100 water-games and summit tower, the tallest water-slide tower in North America and a one-acre wave pool. Open from June to September 1st (Information taken from the Calypso website). 1 hour -65 Km from Mont Saint-Marie Ski Hills. GROCERIES, SHOPPING AND DINING OUT. A very short drive will bring you to an abundance of grocery stores and family restaurants. 2mins-1.5km J.T. Bradley’s country convenience is our local store and LCBO“convenient” for Navan residents. 3mins-3km Seasonal roadside produce. Fresh, mostly locally grown, vegetables, herbs, and fruits. Byward Market Vendors grow their produce in Navan; then take it to market downtown. 10mins-9km: Farm Boy, Metro,Food Amenities include: Baby safety gates for stairs.
