| Available From July 2-October 31 (Two month minimum commitment) Enjoy a quiet, comfortable room with a queen-size bed and desk that gets lots of natural sunlight, including a spectacular sunrise. The common areas of the house have air conditioning, but this room in particular does not. Feel free to keep you door open during the day to keep the room cool and then use a fan at night if needed. You'll be sharing the house with the proud homeowner, a quiet writer who will be away off and on this summer, so you should have the house to yourself 40-60% of the time, depending on when your arrive. There is a shared full bathroom on the main floor and a half bath in the basement. Located in Halifax, beside Hemlock Ravine Park, the house is really more of a cottage, surrounded by ocean and parkland, deer and birds. The whole house could comfortably fit a family of 4-5, but I am living alone for the next few months. Enjoy a quiet and safe street, free private parking, and a large backyard. The backyard is a bit rocky and weedy this year, but it's a nice place to relax and have a campfire at the end of the day. There's also a frontyard deck that looks out onto the tree-lined street. You'll be less than a 5 minute walk from Hemlock Ravine Park, with lots of peaceful trails to explore, and a few historic sites. I'd be happy to take you on a mini tour! Fibre internet, utilities, furnishings, laundry, and one professional cleaning per month are all included for two adult guests. A quiet, house-trained pet is welcome at an additional rate. If you're bringing a third guest, let's chat about rates for a small, extra room that I have on the main floor. One-month's rent, a picture of government ID(s), and a $500 security deposit are required when booking. I'm excited for an awesome summer! |
