| 2 Beds 2 Baths - Apartment (JUNE 15TH TO AUGUST 31ST) LOOKING FOR A ROOMMATE/TENANT FOR MY 2 BED 2 BATH APARTMENT Basic information Location: Kerrisdale/Marpole area near Grandville Street and W 57th Avenue Rent: $1700 monthly (utilities included) Type of housing: Apartment Furnishing: Fully furnished, just bring your own bedding and decorations for your room Length: June 15th to August 31st Distance to UBC: 15 minutes drive to campus, 25 minutes bus via 49 (however please note that the walk to the bus stop is 10 min so 35 min in total) Distance to Downtown: 15 minutes drive or 30 minutes bus via line 10 (bus stop directly in front of the apartment) Amenities included Queen-sized bed, desk + chair, 2 closets, 1 dresser and 2 night stands in your room Dishwasher Washing machine Dryer Wifi CENTAL AIR CONDITIONER :)))) Parking (free street parking or rent a spot in underground parkade from neighbour for $70 per month) TV Storage unit No-no’s Subletting Smoking or vaping indoor (balcony okay) No “party” parties but small gatherings with friends is fine Pets Pros about this place BIG ASS WINDOWS, honestly you will NOT be low on vitamin D You get your own bathroom! Beautiful garden/park outside the building There is an indoor building gym and outdoor swimming pool Near Safeway and Choices grocery stores We have the cutest balcony with fairy lights (see pic below!) Lots of plants :))) My ideal roommate Girlies, queer guys and non-binary folks priority Clean, quiet, considerate and respectful UBC student or young professional Someone down to cook, study, and watch TV shows/films together! A little bit about me I am a 22 year old female ubc student recently graduated in psychology. I love Lana del Rey, the Weeknd, boxing, meeting new people, reading classical literature and watching good movies. I tend to be a night owl but if I am still up I am super quiet. I like the apartment pretty warm (i.e. wearing shorts around the place) but I can compromise I am down to either share groceries or get our own, or a mix of both. I have no dietary restrictions. I am quite extroverted and is the type to like chatting with you after getting home. If you’re not feeling up for a conversation any day just say “Hattie my social battery is quite dead right now…” and I will get the idea :) A few considerations I would like to set aside 30 minutes each weekend to clean up the place with you! Just 30 minutes! I find that is enough to keep the place clean on a weekly basis. Let’s put on some upbeat music and keep each other motivated! I have a partner who visits me at most 1 day per week, he might sleep over he might not. Spending quality time with him is quite important to me. (I definitely won’t kick you out but if you could wear noise cancelling headphones at night that would be much appreciated iykyk) I really believe that resentment builds up if you don’t communicate things to each other. Please feel free to let me know what I am doing is bothering you, I won’t take offense and will try my best to change. I hope you can consider the same for me, and establish open communication as roommates. A final note I have been told I could charge the rent a few hundred dollars more for this place, but I am willing to let it go at the price above just for someone who will respect the place and honestly, just meet a new long-term friend that I could come home to everyday. This apartment was a gift from my mom who passed from cancer overseas, so I’d be very sad if my roommate did not take care of it properly. If this post is still up it is still available.
