| I’m looking for a roommate to rent the larger bedroom in my 2-bedroom apartment, located on the ground floor of a house in a nice quiet residential neighbourhood. The rent is $1,700/month and includes the larger bedroom (with a street facing/East Facing window that gets great morning sunlight), a separate storage closet in the unit, and a private covered parking space in the garage. The unit also has a small, private backyard and laundry on the premises (one floor down, in the basement). Rent is all inclusive, other than internet. Me: I’m a 35-year-old architect who works a somewhat regular 9-5 job and tries his best to have a work life balance and regular daily schedule. I’m also a big woodworking and auto restoration hobbyist. I have a 3-year-old dog (box/GSP mix) who is high energy but well trained. So, you’ll have to be someone who loves, or at least likes, dogs. You: I’m looking for someone clean and tidy, someone who appreciates keeping a house neat and orderly. Ideally you are also a professional who’s financially stable and lives a somewhat normally scheduled life (vs being loud late into the night). Myself, I try to get to bed early (9-11) and be up early (5-7). As far as my personal life, I keep fairly busy with work and hobbies but imagine we’d end up spending some time hanging out, here and there. I wrote the place is unfurnished, but I really meant the bedroom is unfurnished. Most the other furnishings will be taken care of by me/stay as they are. There is a queen size bed frame that will be left behind by the previous tenant, which is up for grabs if wanted. You can see it in the pictures. The house is located near Bloor and Lansdowne, in a nice, quiet residential neighbourhood, with Bloor Street subway access steps away. There’s great brunch places up the road and a selection of restaurants/bars nearby. There’s some smaller parks nearby, including an outdoor basketball court, baseball diamond, and high school track, as well as High Park being not too far away. There’s a couple good grocery store options nearby as well, including a No Frills and Tavora. I’ll leave it at that for now.
