Description
Hello! I am a 34 year old Human Resource professional that has recently secured employment in the Dartmouth area. I will be relocating from Cape Breton, and arriving in the area for June 1st. I recognize that I may have to be flexible with move-in dates and could find temporary accommodations while I wait for something to work out. I am open to all kinds of scenarios when it comes to my living arrangements (e.g. temporary sublet of a room while I find suitable arrangements for myself, finding a roommate that is established in an apartment for me to join long/short-term, or even just finding someone else that is in a similar position of looking for a place to live that would be willing to collaborate as we find a new location together) I am looking for somebody that has their life together.. or at least would have no issues paying rent. And by that, I mean you're the kind of person that has an OK salary and considers themselves a "working professional". I knew rent would be high in Halifax, but I didn't realize just how out of control it's gotten! With that said, I know my budget and I'm looking for a quality space -- not an old dirty space just because it's cheap. I'm very social, but not in a "party" kind of way. Like.. I'll go to the pub and have a few pints over the weekend, but I can guarantee you that 99% of the time I'll be home well before midnight. My intention is to bring my dog with me to the city. She is a six year old Black Lab, and is very super well-behaved. I put a lot of work into training her, and we go out for frequent adventures. When we're home, she's pretty chill and just likes to lay in her comfy spots -- Promise she wouldn't be up in face. IF the result of this ad is just a short-term/temporary sublet until something more suitable comes alone, the dog will NOT be coming with me. She can stay with family while I continue to search over the summer. Lastly, I'd love to actually kind of like my roommate. I fully intend on having an "interview process" which would basically be meeting and interacting a few times to learn about each other and sense whether our "vibes" will co-exist nicely. If you have any questions for me, please feel free to reach out! This move has presented itself to me quite suddenly, so I'm anxious to move forward and will do anything I can to facilitate the process.
