| Habitat for Humanity New Brunswick is a non-profit charitable organization working towards a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Habitat is making a difference – one house, one family and one volunteer at a time. We are thrilled to announce that we are now accepting applications for a newly constructed duplex in Shediac! Both units offer 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, with the potential for 2 additional bedrooms and a second bathroom in the basement, if needed for a larger family. Our program could be the way out of renting and into your very own home. Here's how it works: Habitat for Humanity works with hardworking lower-income families by offering an alternative route to homeownership for those unable to secure a traditional mortgage. The current Habitat model is based on a no-down payment, no-interest mortgage - which makes homeownership much more affordable and attainable for eligible families. As part of our partnership, Habitat families commit to contributing 500 volunteer hours. They work alongside other volunteers to build their house, assist with other Habitat projects, or volunteer within their community.
